Hooraah! we Finished all 26 episodes of 'de Grobbebollen maken Lol' starting from today until the third of september, every monday tuesday thursday and friday at 14:35, they will be broadcasted on Nederland 3 at Zappelin !
we couldn't have made this fantastic show without Mick Harrison an JesterCoyote animation and of course not without the Efteling! we hope you will have as much fun watching, as we had while making the show!
Last week we flew back from a great trip in Annecy. Unfortunally our flight got cancelled, and we had to wait 24 hours to get another one. Luckily for us the Flightcompany arranged a stay for us in the 5-star Crowne Plaza Hotel in Geneva, where we could enjoy lots of luxury, swimming pool, sauna, steamroom, good food etc. Just like home!
Phew! Today we finished the last storyboard for 'De Grobbebollen'. (the tv show we direct for de Efteling) It was quite a job; 26 episodes of 2,5 minutes, which more than an hour! It was great to do, and wonderful to see these how these storyboards develop to the finished episodes. Our work is not finished of course. There's three episodes to be animated. And then we are still busy with post production. We expect all episodes to be totally finished by the first week of July.
The Grobbebollen have got their own little show in Hollands main themepark de Efteling. In one of the towers of their magic castle they will do a show to entertain the visitors of the park. They will be supported by guys in blue suits who will play and voice these handpuppets of Broer and Geeltje. Check it out in de Efteling!

In 2006 Erik and I both did two internships, on at the Cartoonsaloon in Ireland and one at Animationworks a small studio in Dordrecht, here in Holland ran by Arjan Wilschut. We really liked his style and were strongly convinced Arjan worked in some sort of a digital way, because of his strong 'vectorline-ish'-style. But we were very wrong, this man draws everything by hand on paper, even the double (thick) outlines are drawn by hand! We learned a lot from Arjan and we got to work a bit on his film 'Hard Boiled Chicken' recently he started a blog with loads of nice work. Luckily we're still doing some nice work for him every now and then, watch out for his next film 'Farmer Jack'. Here is the short 'Hard Boiled Chicken' which we got to work on back then, and which also won a whole bunch of festivals.
We are very proud to announce that starting today 'De Grobbebollen maken lol' is airing on Dutch television. The show is produced by the Efteling, and is a spin-off of TiTaTovenaar.
Ka-Ching Cartoons directs and executive produces the 26x2,5 minute episodes. Animation is being done by Jester Coyote Animation, and the designs by the great Mick Harrison.
This Flash animated cartoon is about Geeltje and Broer and their silly adventures. The first 5 episodes air this week. The next 5 in May and from June all epsiodes will be finished. We are very happy with the quality of the show, it is a dream working on it!!

About a year ago in november, we were asked to make an commercial by Terre Des Hommes an organisation that fights against child abuse all over the world. Although we prefer to make happy and funny films, we saw a challenge in it and took on the production. With only a handfull of photos provided as material, we were asked to make a nasty and gritty looking commercial about the subject. So no funny stuff,but serious looking animated photos. the characters are not real, they are all composed out of several photos , so are the backgrounds.
the first one turned out so well that they asked us to do another one in februari this year and a third one last november. Also because the succes of the campaign they asked us to make a compilation of the three commercials as a fourth one.
This first commercial we've made is about Yindee, a little girl who is forced to work in prostitution. the viewers are asked to help her by sending a text message by phone. It is followed by a tagon which features what happens with her if there are not enough messages received. after that we see what happens if enough messages are received and Terre Des Hommes helps her.
This second commercial we've made is about Siti, we follow this little girl who is treated like a package on a rough trip. the viewers are asked to help her by sending a text message by phone. It is followed by a tagon which features what happens with her if there are not enough messages received. after that we see what happens if enough messages are received and Terre Des Hommes helps her.
This third commercial we've made is about Nazrul, a little boy who is forced to work hard and long hours every day. the viewers are asked to help him by sending a text message by phone. It is followed by a tagon which features what happens with him if there are not enough messages received. after that we see what happens if enough messages are received and Terre Des Hommes helps him.
the last commercial of this series was a compilation of the previous ones. this one shows all the different kinds of child-abuse that Terre des Hommes fights against. Child-prostitution, Child-trading and Child-labour

This is our last contribution of this seasons 'de Badgasten' ,BNN's comedy-improvisationshow. Klaas van der Eerden and Fabian Jansen are going through various filmstyles on the green screen, and they start off inside a Pyramide! The scene will change to an Romantic film, a Musical, a Horror-film, a Nature-film, and a ChickFlick.
this was a really great show to work on, and our client BNN gave us lots and lots of creative freedom. lets keep our fingers crossed for a second season!

We are working hard for de Badgasten! a new comedyshow for BNN. It's an improvisation comedy show and very funny!(we like funny) There are various different parts in the show, and in one sketch the comedians will improvise in front of a greenscreen. We are one of the parties that are hired to make animations around the comedians.
